In the meantime, we will leave you with the words of a Residents' Association Chairman to illustrate the value that we can add to a project:

I am writing to you on behalf of the residents to thank you for the way in which your Company and client has dealt with the very real concerns of us all. On our own admission we were justifiably openly hostile to your initial consultations but gradually with great patience and a gentle charm you managed to break down this barrier of animosity between us.

To the credit of your client and yourselves, as skilful negotiators, a final scheme emerged which went a long way in mitigating our worst fears. To be totally honest the original scheme would have had us all packing our suitcases at least now we have a reasonable chance of survival and furthermore we believe on current performance that we have neighbours that will be prepared to listen and act should there be problems in the future.
